A "Linedance" STORY
So I had a reminder the other day from one of my dancers. I had been calling the dance names in class & they did become a sentence. A few jokes later, I did remind them I had done a social with the dance names telling a story back in October 2020. While some of it didn’t exactly make sense it made a fun way of getting the dance list out there. No, it didn’t take a Friday to Sunday night. Lol, just an afternoon. I must do it again soon. 😊
The dances are all in bold capital letters. There are 52 dances with a couple of split floors....
A STORY...
One Saturday morning, actually GET IT RIGHT, it must have taken PART FRIDAY PART SUNDAY to write this. I was BORED. I dreamed of taking A ROCKET TO THE SUN. Forecast says ITS GONNA RAIN so let’s go BACK TO THE START.
I’ve been FEELING KINDA LONELY TONIGHT, LIVING ON LOVE / (AB), imagining I’m STUCK ON ME & YOU together. You’re ONE HOT PEPPER, SEXY BABY especially WHEN YOU SMILE and I think you’re A LOVE WORTH WAITING FOR.
But please BABY DON’T RUSH things WALK WITH ME (Gawd…. just seen all that GRAFFITI on the wall. Bloody PLAYBOYS (Excuse language). Someone needs to TAKE DOWN that mess). Getting side tracked…..…. I do only want you, NOTHING BUT YOU so be reassured I’VE BEEN WAITING FOR YOU, for such a long time, PATSY FAGAN. I do have CLEAR BLUE EYES (not drinking yet) and a PATIENT HEART and I’m STILL IN LOVE WITH YOU. OH ME OH MY OH you have that CRYSTAL TOUCH! ……Let’s meet at BONAPARTE’S RETREAT. It’s near GRANDMA’S COTTAGE, on DIXIE ROAD. That’s the LIGHTS ON THE HILL down by that RIVERTOWN.
Some THINGS, SIMPLE THINGS you can’t change. So COME DANCE WITH ME/DANCE WITH ME, FRIDAY AT THE DANCE. It’s DOWN AT/TO THE HONKY TONK. We’ll find SOMEONE FOR YOU too and also SINATRA & CHARDONNAY, WHATCHA RECKON?
But as you know there’s going to be no man for me so let’s KEEP IT SIMPLE. IT’S ONLY NATURAL after that, I need a GOOD WHISKEY or GIN & TONIC too. Remember it’s TEXAS TIME, not Aussie or NZ time, so I can have more, lol, but I think now I’m TOO DRUNK TO DRIVE. I know because I came STUMBLING IN (AB) and nearly BRING DOWN THE HOUSE.
